Geology of Area

The lease area is within the Kumasi basin and surrounded by the Ashanti Gold belt to the east and the Asankragwa Gold belt to the west. The Kumasi Basin geological setting is heavily faulted and consists of folded sequence of metasediments, dominated by sequences of greywackes and shales, fitted with phyllites, argillites and shales. There are some narrow dykes intruding the area with NE trending shears/structures.
